Mount Saint Mary Park

Mount Saint Mary’s has a 1.69-mile walking trail around 30.2 acres of park land. This is a community park in the heart of St. Charles that also has access to the Fox River Trail. All you need is a good pair of walking shoes to enjoy this park and get your “park prescription” underway. View the Mount Saint Mary Trail Map.

Park Prescription: A walk in the park to better one’s health, along with a combination of nature & fresh air, is being prescribed by doctors all around the globe. To name a few, walking can strengthen your bones and muscles, increase your flexibility, help you lose weight, lower your blood pressure, aid in relieving stress, lower your cholesterol, improve your mental health & wellness, as well as help you sleep. History of Mount Saint Mary Park:

The park was purchased from the Sisters of St. Dominic in 1971. The park was officially dedicated to the city of St. Charles in 1984.

Visitors of Mount Saint Mary Park stroll, hike, bike and skate through the park on a daily basis. This park is a shady arboretum that has maples, pines and oak trees throughout. On the eastern border is the wonderful Fox River. From frisbee in the park to relaxing & picnicking, there is enough perfectly cut grass for all. Thousands of people enjoy the park and its wonderful sculptures year round. Photographing these unique works of art and sculptures has never been easier than walking the winding trail path.

This sculpture exhibit runs throughout the spring, summer and fall seasons, serving a population of 48,000. Sponsored by the St. Charles Park Foundation, the exhibit’s purpose is to raise awareness of the sculptural arts and the beautiful parks in downtown St. Charles. Perfect for viewers to simply discuss, think about and enjoy.
